Horizons' Go Go Green Recycling Program

Horizons Centre offers recycling pick up services for both residential and business customers. If you are interested in this service, please fill out our contract agreement and send it to gogogreen@horizonscentre.com

Fees

Residential Fees

Starting at $15 per month (GST is included) for weekly pick up of one 68 L bin. Note: Go Go Green will accept two - three flattened boxes/week- underneath the bin for no additional cost.

Business Fees

Starting at $20 per month (GST is included) for weekly pick up of one 68 L bin. Note: Go Go Green will accept two - three flattened boxes/week- underneath the bin for no additional cost.

Additional Fees

68 L recycling bin with lid– $17.00 if you choose
Recycling volume overages– any item(s) outside of the included weekly pick up volume will incur a minimum additional cost of $2.50 and will increase based on amount of overage/type of item.
Multi-material items-products made from more than one type of material (e.g., soup cans/labels, coil notebooks) that are not taken apart, may incur an additional fee.

Household Plastics

Only Clean #1, #2 and #5, hard plastic separated from other materials (no foil or paper or soft plastic)

Mixed Paper

catalogues
telephone books
newspapers and flyers
magazines
books
glossy paper
shredded paper
boxboard (pop/cereal boxes, etc.)
wrapping paper (no foil)
envelopes
white/colored paper

Tin Cans

All must be clean and LABELS REMOVED (also recyclable as paper)

Cardboard

All corrugated cardboard must be clean, dry, and flattened (clean Tim Hortons hot beverage cups). All non-cardboard material must be removed (plastic, staples etc.)

Electronics

Larger electronics that do not fit in the bin, such as microwaves, VCR’s, stereos, tv, etc. can be picked up by appointment only (additional charges apply).

Additional Information

Go Go Green reserves the right to leave any items that do not meet the above criteria in the customer’s bin. Containers with food products CAN NOT be recycled as food will contaminate entire bins at the recycling depot and contents will need to be disposed of in the land fill.
