My name is Jessica Johnson, and I serve as the Vice-Chair of the Horizons Centre's Board of Directors. I’ve called Wetaskiwin home for over 18 years and have spent more than a decade working with individuals of all ages in day programs, group homes, and schools. That experience has always made inclusion and creating opportunities for people essential to me, which made joining the Board of Directors at Horizon's an easy decision.
I’m now a Funeral Director and Embalmer with Baker Funeral Chapel, and I’m grateful to continue being involved in the community. I enjoy giving back, connecting with people, and doing what I can to make a positive difference.
My husband grew up in and works in the community, and together we have two adult sons. We enjoy traveling and walking our two dogs, Ross Geller and Poppy.
Dr. Kirwan has called Wetaskiwin home since 1987, when he joined five fellow physicians in family practice at the Associate Clinic. Following his retirement in 2020, he was invited to join the Board of Directors of Horizons Centre, an organization he finds both inspiring and impactful. He is continually impressed by the dedication and professionalism of the staff, whose commitment helps individuals maximize their skills, achieve their potential, and thrive as valued members of the community.
